Looking for a Plastic Surgeon in Cedar Park, TX? Here's What 26 Miles Gets You

If you're comparing options for a plastic surgeon in Cedar Park, TX, The Piazza Center is worth a look even though our office isn't in Cedar Park. We're at 5920 W William Cannon Dr, Bldg 7, Suite 200, in Southwest Austin, about 26 miles from Cedar Park City Hall. Most of that trip is US 183 and MoPac, and in light traffic it takes a little over half an hour.

Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Rocco Piazza opened this practice in 2010. Below, we focus on three areas for anyone researching plastic surgery in Cedar Park, TX: Motiva Preservé breast augmentation, liposuction, and in-office care like Botox, fillers, and laser treatments. Then the practical side: routes, tolls, recovery at home, and cost.

05Virtual ConsultationsYour first conversation with the practice can happen by video from home.
06Accredited Surgery CenterDr. Piazza plans and performs every surgery himself at an accredited private surgery center.

Cedar Park has plastic surgery and med spa offices of its own. When people still drive to William Cannon Drive, it usually comes down to a specific procedure or a specific surgeon. Motiva Preservé is a good example: Motiva credentials a limited number of surgeons in each market to perform it, and Dr. Piazza was selected for the U.S. surgeon cohort when Preservé launched in September 2025.

The drive is shorter than many people expect. Census Bureau survey data puts the average Cedar Park commute at about 25.5 minutes, close to this trip in light traffic. Since February 2026, the 183 North express lanes also connect directly to the MoPac Express Lane in both directions, a paid way around the slowest stretches.

Is Motiva Preservé
worth the drive from Cedar Park?

Preservé is a way of performing breast augmentation, not a brand of implant. The idea is to place the implant while disturbing as little of your own tissue as possible. Instead of cutting through the chest muscle, Dr. Piazza separates tissue along the planes where it naturally divides and places the implant above the muscle, in a layer called the posterior lamellar space. The pectoralis muscle stays intact.

That difference shows up most during recovery. Because no muscle is cut, many Preservé patients return to work in about three days, often without prescription pain medication. If you've been researching breast augmentation in Cedar Park and the time off work is the sticking point, this is the technique to ask about. Your own timeline depends on your anatomy and how you heal, and Dr. Piazza will give you a realistic estimate at your consultation.

What actually happens during Preservé surgery?

Planning starts before the operating room. Dr. Piazza uses 3D measurement of your chest to choose the implant and size the pocket. The incision is small, typically 2.5 to 3.5 cm, and sits in the fold under the breast.

During surgery, a fluid technique called hydrodissection controls bleeding in place of cautery. Two Motiva instruments handle the pocket: a Channel Separator that opens space without cutting, and an Inflatable Balloon that gently expands a pocket matched to your implant. The implant goes in through a funnel, so no one handles it directly, which lowers the chance of bacterial contamination.

Which implants does Dr. Piazza use with Preservé?

Preservé is done with Motiva SmoothSilk Round or SmoothSilk Ergonomix implants. The FDA approved both in September 2024. Round keeps a consistent profile in any position. Ergonomix uses a progressive gel that looks softer and rounder when you lie back and fuller in the upper breast when you're upright, without the rotation concern of a fixed teardrop shape. Neither is better for everyone; the choice depends on your tissue, your chest shape, and the look you're after.

What does the published research show?

A three-year series in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal (Randquist et al., 2026) followed 330 consecutive patients and 660 implants placed with this tissue-preserving approach through a breast-fold incision. At an average follow-up of 18 months, the authors reported a 0.9% overall complication rate, no Baker Grade III or IV capsular contracture (the more severe grades of hardening), and no implant ruptures.

These are results from an international series, not a promise for any one patient.

Am I a good candidate for Preservé?

Preservé tends to suit first-time augmentation patients who want a proportionate change, care about keeping sensation and muscle function, stay active, and don't smoke. It may not fit if you need revision surgery with significant scar capsule removal, want a size jump beyond what your tissue can support, have very little natural breast tissue, or use nicotine. Dr. Piazza will say so directly if another approach would serve you better.

So is it worth 26 miles?

Breast augmentation means a handful of visits, not a weekly appointment. When recovery often has people back at their desks within days, the distance matters less than who is operating. Dr. Piazza completed his Preservé preceptorship in San José, Costa Rica, in June 2025, and he considers breast augmentation his specialty.

Read the full Motiva Preservé breast augmentation page, compare Motiva implants, or see how the first weeks usually go in the Preservé recovery timeline. Results from real patients are in the before and after gallery.

Liposuction for Cedar Park patients:
what the first week looks like.

Liposuction removes fat cells from areas that haven't responded to diet and exercise. It isn't weight-loss surgery. The best candidates are close to their goal weight, in good health, nonsmokers, and have skin with good elasticity. The areas treated most often are the abdomen, flanks, thighs, and upper arms.

How does Dr. Piazza perform liposuction?

He uses MicroAire's PAL power-assisted liposuction system. Tumescent fluid first numbs the area, constricts blood vessels, and loosens the fat, which reduces bruising. A thin cannula then breaks up and removes the fat through small incisions, protected by a port that keeps each one as small as possible. Dr. Piazza prefers this to laser liposuction because the fat comes out directly instead of being liquefied and left for your body to clear.

Can liposuction treat small trouble spots?

Yes. The pocket of fat at the upper outer breast that shows in tank tops (the anterior axillary fold) takes about 30 minutes through a tiny incision. The inner knees take under 20 minutes.

Is liposuction safe?

Performed on its own by a board-certified plastic surgeon, liposuction has a major complication rate under 1%. The risk goes up somewhat when it's combined with other surgery, though it stays low. Not using tobacco and following your pre- and post-op instructions closely bring it down further.

What will recovery look like at home?

Here is the general timeline from the practice's liposuction recovery guidance. Your own instructions from Dr. Piazza come first.

01

The ride home and day one

You'll need someone to drive you back to Cedar Park. Expect tightness, swelling, and soreness. Get up and walk for 5 to 10 minutes, seven or eight times through the day, to keep your circulation going, and stay on schedule with your pain medication.

02

Days two through six

Your compression garment and foam padding help control swelling. Keep taking short walks every 1 to 2 hours, drink plenty of water, and eat fiber-rich food. The padding usually comes off around day 4, and incision dressings around day 5 or 6.

03

Weeks one through four

Most people return to non-strenuous work and social plans within about a week. Around week 2 you can usually move from the surgical binder to a softer compression garment and start easing back into exercise, slowly.

04

Months three to six

By 3 months the sutures have dissolved, incisions are fading, and bruising and swelling should be gone. Most people are fully healed with final results by 6 months, when "after" photos are taken and annual follow-ups begin.

Fat cells removed by liposuction don't return to the treated area. If you keep a stable weight, results can last indefinitely, though gaining weight can add fat elsewhere on the body. Our blog post on whether fat comes back after liposuction goes into more detail.

If loose skin or separated abdominal muscles are part of what bothers you, liposuction alone won't fix them. That's where a tummy tuck comes in, and the two are often combined. If you'd rather start without surgery, EMSCULPT NEO is a non-surgical option for mild to moderate concerns. For the full picture on liposuction Cedar Park patients can get with Dr. Piazza, visit the liposuction page.

Featured · Non-Surgical

Botox, fillers, and laser treatments
that fit around a Cedar Park commute.

You don't need to be planning surgery to make the trip worthwhile. Many of our non-surgical treatments take under an hour, have little or no downtime, and can be booked around a workday. Treatments are handled by the practice's non-surgical team, including Advanced Nurse Injector April Daniel, APRN, FNP-C, working alongside Dr. Piazza.

How long does a Botox appointment take, and how long does it last?

A Botox Cosmetic visit usually takes 15 to 30 minutes, with topical numbing if you'd like it. Botox softens lines caused by movement: crow's feet, forehead lines, and the frown lines between your brows. You should see the effect in 5 to 7 days, and it typically lasts 3 to 4 months.

A follow-up at two weeks lets the team photograph your result and adjust the dose. Many patients treat about every 3 months, so plan on roughly four visits a year. If you've been searching for Botox in Cedar Park, that schedule is the main thing to weigh against the drive.

Should I choose Botox or Dysport?

Both are botulinum toxin type A. Dysport is less concentrated, so it spreads more easily across broad areas like the forehead, and results often show in 2 to 3 days. After Dysport, avoid strenuous exercise, lying down, and rubbing the area for at least 4 hours; sitting upright for the drive home fits that fine. Xeomin and Letybo are also offered. Compare them on the wrinkle relaxers page.

What about dermal fillers?

Fillers restore volume and soften folds in the cheeks, lips, under-eye area, chin, and jawline. The practice carries JUVÉDERM, Restylane, the RHA Collection, Radiesse, and Sculptra Aesthetic, so the product can be matched to the area. Most fillers come pre-mixed with lidocaine, and you can add topical numbing or Pro-Nox.

Depending on the product, results last from 6 months to more than 2 years. Walk-in appointments are often available. Afterward, skip strenuous activity for 24 hours and stay out of saunas, hot tubs, and tanning beds for a day or two. See Botox Cosmetic, Dysport, and dermal fillers for details.

Which skin and laser treatments have the least downtime?

01

HydraFacial

About 40 minutes with no downtime. It cleanses, exfoliates, extracts, and hydrates in one session, and many patients come in on a lunch break and go straight back to work.

02

BBL HERO

A full face takes about 12 to 15 minutes. It targets sun spots, redness, and rosacea. Any redness tends to clear in hours. Spots turn darker first, then flake away within 7 to 10 days. The suggested rhythm is one session per quarter.

03

MOXI

A gentle laser that takes about 30 minutes and is safe for all skin types. Expect a light-sunburn pink for several hours and a sandpaper feel for a few days. You can wear makeup after 24 hours. Most plans are 3 to 4 sessions, a month apart.

04

HALO

A hybrid fractional laser that takes about an hour after numbing cream. Skin is usually red, swollen, and sensitive for 2 to 4 hours, with no dressing to manage. Once a year is the usual pace; plenty of people come back at 6 months.

MOXI is often used between HALO and BBL sessions to maintain results. Browse the full injectables and non-surgical menus to see everything offered.

Getting Here

How do I get to The Piazza Center
from Cedar Park?

The office is at 5920 W William Cannon Dr, Bldg 7, Suite 200, Austin, TX 78749, in the Mesa Oaks complex. We're open weekdays from 9 to 5. We measured three routes from Cedar Park City Hall at 450 Cypress Creek Rd using OpenStreetMap routing data. The times assume light traffic; weekday rush hour on US 183 and MoPac will add to them.

01

Fastest: 183 and MoPac express lanes

About 25.5 miles and 32 minutes. Head south on US 183 and join the 183 Express Lanes, which run between SH 45 North and MoPac and feed directly into the MoPac Express Lane. Continue south on MoPac (Loop 1) past downtown to US 290/SH 71, go west about a mile and a half, and exit to West William Cannon Drive.

02

Toll-free: same path, regular lanes

Stay in the non-tolled lanes. US 183 now has four of them in each direction between SH 45 North and MoPac, and MoPac's general lanes are free. Inside Cedar Park, the 183A frontage roads north of RM 1431 are also toll-free. Distance is about the same; time depends on traffic.

03

Alternate: Loop 360

About 29 miles and 41 minutes. Take US 183 south to Loop 360 (Capital of Texas Highway), cross the Pennybacker Bridge, and follow 360 south until it meets MoPac. From there, continue to US 290 and William Cannon. It's a useful backup when MoPac is slow.

04

Paying the tolls

183A Toll is fully cashless. A toll tag such as TxTag gets a 33% discount compared with Pay By Mail, which adds a $1 statement fee to each bill. The MoPac Express Lane posts its current price before you enter, and that posted rate is what you pay.

From first call to final check-in

  1. Consultation, in person or virtual. You talk through your goals, health history, and options with Dr. Piazza, or with an injector for non-surgical care. For surgery like Preservé, Dr. Piazza assesses your anatomy in person before confirming the plan.
  2. Your quote. For surgery, you receive a personalized, itemized estimate after the consultation. Financing can often be reviewed, and in many cases approved, during the visit.
  3. Preparation. Stop smoking, keep your weight stable, and follow Dr. Piazza's medication instructions. Before liposuction, that includes avoiding aspirin and certain supplements for at least two weeks. Arrange your ride and someone to help at home.
  4. Surgery day. Surgery takes place at an accredited surgery center in Austin, with anesthesia provided through the practice's collaboration with dual board-certified Dr. Cady. The office confirms the address and arrival time with your pre-op instructions.
  5. Follow-up. Several visits in the weeks after surgery, then yearly check-ins as part of the 4-year commitment.

What should I bring?

Bring a list of your current medications and supplements, since Dr. Piazza reviews them before surgery. On surgery day, wear comfortable clothing and have your driver confirmed. Your pre-op instructions cover the rest.

Recovery

Recovering at home
in Cedar Park.

Most of your recovery happens at home, not in Austin. A little setup before surgery makes the first few days easier for you and whoever is helping.

How should I get my house ready?

Stock up on comfortable clothes, your compression garments if your procedure uses them, water, and meals that take no effort. Have someone lined up to drive you home and stay with you through the first stretch of recovery.

Where can I walk once I'm cleared?

Early on, short laps around the house are the goal. Once Dr. Piazza clears you for longer walks, Cedar Park has easy options close to home:

  • Brushy Creek Lake Park, 3300 Brushy Creek Rd. A 90-acre city park with hike-and-bike trails around a 38-acre lake. Its trails link to the longer Brushy Creek Regional Trail, so you can keep a walk as short as you like.
  • Elizabeth Milburn Park, 1901 Sun Chase Blvd. A community park with a 1-mile park trail.

Start slow, and let your post-op instructions decide when you're ready for more.

What if something doesn't feel right?

For questions about your recovery, phone our office at (512) 288-8200 and follow the instructions you were given after surgery. If you think you're having a medical emergency, call 911. Cedar Park has two 24-hour emergency departments:

  • Ascension Seton Cedar Park Hospital, 1401 Medical Parkway. A full hospital with 24/7 emergency care and a Level IV trauma designation.
  • Baylor Scott & White Emergency Medical Center – Cedar Park, 900 E Whitestone Blvd. A standalone emergency department open 24 hours. Patients who need a hospital stay are transferred to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Round Rock.
Cost & Financing

How much will it cost,
and can I finance it?

The Piazza Center doesn't advertise a single surgery price, because the total depends on your plan. For Preservé, the biggest variables are implant type and size, first-time versus revision surgery, adding a lift, and facility and anesthesia fees. Liposuction depends on the number and size of areas. Botox and Dysport are priced by units and areas. You'll get your number after the consultation, and three financing partners are available:

01CherryMonthly plans, some at 0% APR for qualified applicants. Pre-qualify in about 60 seconds, with no prepayment penalty.
02PatientFiFlexible monthly plans built around your budget. Checking eligibility won't touch your credit score.
03CareCredit®Patient payment plans from a healthcare lender founded in 1987.

All three are third-party lenders with their own terms and approval. If a current special applies, you can put it toward the total and finance the rest. See fees and financing for details, or call (512) 288-8200.
